Roles on set

Roles on set are crucial when shooting so everyone has a task to do, therefore each of us is in charge of one thing and organising that part of the shoot. This so so that people with specific strengths and interests can do what they are interested in, and we can all work together while doing our specific tasks. This also makes everything less confusing as if we are all doing everything we may not know what to do when and it bay become disorganised. Whereas if we have tasks which we are in charge of we can get on with our own thing and everyone knows what they are doing.

These are the four tasks in the production of the video:

- Camera operator - in charge of setting up the shots and filming them

- Director - In charge of telling the cast what to do, telling the crew what to do, and calling commands

- Producer - Taking pictures for behind the scenes, in charge of the playback clapperboard

- Art director - In charge of making sure the set looks good, and costume and makeup

My role on set for production was camera operator, so I filmed all of the shots. This is because I am competent using the camera, and good at setting up shots to look visually pleasing.

We also have post production roles, these include editing and the social media campaign, which for the same reason, are to help us organise our time and according to our strengths and abilities. These are:

- Editor - in charge of editing the music video together

- Digipak designer - makes the digipak and designs it.

- Social media - two people that set up social media accounts, includes having photoshoots with cast ect]

My post production role was social media, as I take photography so will be good at doing photoshoots with the cast for the instagram and twitter accounts. I also think that I will be good at laying out the instagram to look nice and create a good image for the band.
